Memorial Scholarship Fund

On Jan. 19, 1999, four Corona Firefighters lost their lives in a plane crash in the Chino Hills. On the plane were Michael Chantry, 36, of San Clemente, John Jefferies III, 25, of Orange, Donald Butts, 28, of Irvine, and Daniel Alleman, 27, of Gavilan Hills. Danny Alleman was the brother of Becky and Rod Davis. Becky and Rod have held a number of positions on our Region's Board. Rod has served as the Assistant Regional Commissioner and lately as our Tournament Director. Becky has been our Secondary Seasons Administrator as well as our new Sponsorship Director.

To honor Danny's memory, Rod's wife Beck and her mother Luanne have established a scholarship at the Santa Ana College Part-Time Fire Academy - the same school that Danny attended. Last December, they presented the 4th annual award to Daimen Vazquez, a student at the academy.

To fund this scholarship, Luanne, Becky, and Rod are hosting a dinner to celebrate Danny's life. This year it is being held at the:
